大阪成蹊大学（学長：中村佳正）は、2025年4月より、すべての学生を対象としたグローバル教育の推進拠点として「グローバルセンター」を設立しました。
センター長には大阪成蹊短期大学学長の紺野昇が就任いたしました。 中でも国際観光学部では、UN Tourism（世界観光機関）の賛助会員として国連との結びつきを深めており、観光を通じたグローバルな課題について学生が学ぶ機会を提供しています。
この度、国際観光学部長国枝教授と、Ring教授は、4月28日の大阪?関西万博の国連のパビリオンでのイベントの開催を機に関係者への表敬訪問致しました。

国連パビリオンでは、「United for a Better Future: 人類は団結したとき最も強くなる。」をテーマに、国連全体の活動を紹介する展示や、イベントが行われています。当日は、雨にも関わらず大変盛況で国連陳列区域代表Mr. Nasser，Maherから説明を受けるとともにテンプル大学、観光ホスピタリティマネジメントのアルスクラー上級准教授とアン准教授も加わり、国連の観光に関する取り組みなどについても意見交換を行いました。
国際観光学部の国際観光研究特別科目（国枝?Ring担当）では、7月に世界観光機関(UN Tourism)アジア太平洋地域事務所から講師として石崎雄久氏を招へいして国連が取り組んでいるグローバルな観光の課題と解決策についての知見や経験を学ぶ予定です。

Osaka Seikei University under the leadership of Dr. Yoshimasa Nakamura established the Global Center in April 2025. The Global center is led by Mr. Konno, President of Osaka Seikei College. The center will serve as the university’s headquarters for global education, supporting all students in their international learning experiences. The Faculty of Global Tourism and Management, in particular, has been actively collaborating with UN Tourism as an affiliate member, offering students the opportunity to explore global issues in tourism.
On April 28, Dr. Kunieda and Dr. Ring visited the UN Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo to attend an event alongside Dr. Altschuler and Dr. An, faculty members from the Tourism and Hospitality Management program at Temple University, Tokyo. During the visit, they had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Nasser, Assistant Secretary-General & Commissioner-General of the UN Pavilion for Expo 2025, to gain insights into the purpose and vision of the exhibitions.
Looking ahead, Dr. Kunieda and Dr. Ring will invite Mr. Ishizaki from the UN Tourism Regional Support Office for Asia and the Pacific to speak about global issues of sustainability in tourism in the class in July 2025.
